October 12, 2015

On Thursday, October 8, 2015 David S. Thaler and associates, along with hundreds of other land surveyors and engineers from around the world celebrated the 250th anniversary of the Mason-Dixon survey in Baltimore County, Maryland.  The celebration was held in conjunction with the joint conference for the Maryland Society of Surveyors and Maryland Society of Professional Engineers.

S. Thaler & Associates with the help of Chas Langelan, L.S. launched a national fundraising campaign.  The restored, conserved, and remounted instrument was unveiled on Thursday at the Maryland Historical Society in Baltimore by Baltimore County Executive, Kevin Kamenetz.
